This document is for clients
that use our Hosting or ISP Services, and spells out any and all
restrictions in the areas of content on and use of our upline servers.Acceptable Use Policy
By the use of our hosting or ISP services, uploading your files to our upline
server(s) and/or the use of related email services you hereby agree to the terms
of our "Acceptable Use Policy" below. The policies and guidelines expressed
herein supplement the rights and obligations of the parties under any preceding
service agreement. This document establishes operating principles and acceptable
use policies as they relate to the Customer's use of the Internet and the
connection / services provided by our upline servers to the Customer.

Kentropolis Internet Services and KenHost, hereforth "KENTROPOLIS," does not
support social, political, or legal censorship of any kind on the internet, but
reserves the right to set standards and limitations in relation to our own
services.
These policies are based in realistic fairness, social courtesy, and free
commerce, but also on reasonable community expectations. Even if we did not have
this ethical position, we would still be bound to a similar legal agreement with
our upline service provider(s).
The Internet is a voluntary association of users interested in and willing to
exchange information and data with other Internet users. At present there is no
oversight group providing governance over the principles, policies or procedures
for use of the Internet or the information and data accessed via the Internet.
However, we encourage you to acquire and maintain a basic working knowledge of
the internet and its operating principles and procedures. The Internet is a
network intended for use by mature, adult users. The Customer recognizes this
principle and undertakes at all times to act with respect, courtesy and
responsibility, giving due regard to the interests and rights of other Internet
user groups.
Due to legal and social issues, we will not accept any customers who publish
pornographic images online. We do not allow any pornographic content on our
upline servers, including but not limited to nude photographs, explicit
language, or sexual fiction. If an existing customer publishes pornographic
images, KENTROPOLIS may suspend and/or cancel your account. If an existing
customer publishes pornographic images, with or without warning, we will remove
your site from our server and all monies paid will be forfeited.
These restrictions include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

| SEXUAL FICTION, AND SIMILAR EDITORIALS & STORIES

| NUDE PHOTOGRAPHS (don't push the "art" definition beyond a conservative
point) |
| EXPLICIT LANGUAGE (think daytime American TV) |
The Customer is expected to use discretion in the treatment and handling of
Internet information and data and to take particular care to insure that
acceptable adult information is not easily transmitted to juvenile users of the
Internet.
We will not associate in any way, especially in a hosting capacity of any
hate content. Specifically, we define "hate content" as any opinion or
information that is presented with intent to invoke prejudice against a group of
people.
Education of the potential dangers of an ideology can be acceptable if
documented and not editorialized in such a way that is directed at its
adherents.
The Customer will avoid violation of certain generally accepted guidelines in
relation to pirating or copying of software, images, audio files, video files,
or any other copyright protected electronic or intellectual property.
The Customer is responsible for validating the integrity of the information and
data it receives or transmits over the Internet.
The Customer will ensure that its use of the Internet complies with all
applicable federal, state and local law and regulation, including but not
limited to those principles of law which protect against compromise of
copyrights, trade secrets, proprietary information and other intellectual
property rights, libel or defamation of character, invasion of privacy, tortuous
interference, and export of technical or military data to prohibited countries.
The Customer will avoid violation of certain generally accepted guidelines
such as restrictions on mass mailings and mass advertisements that involve our
upline servers IN ANY WAY, including excessive relaying or receiving of
messages.
In other words, no Bulk Email, Spam, or Unsolicited Mail Submissions.
Let's repeat ourselves one last time: NO DOMAIN MAINTAINED BY OUR UPLINE SERVICE
PROVIDER will be permitted to submit BULK EMAIL of any type. This includes but
not limited to using our Email server or any other BULK EMAIL submission
service, i.e. Cyber Promotions. This includes but is not limited to the the use
of the Domain Name or an Email Address for the Domain Name in the actual Bulk
Email. If we receive a complaint on a BULK EMAIL from a Domain maintained on our
servers, the account will be subject to suspension and/or cancellation without
notice.
Customers will not be allowed to use excessive amounts of CPU processing on any
of our servers or face immediate and necessary suspension. Accounts with a set
data transfer limit will be charged $10 per 500 Mbytes in excess of their
monthly limit. To avoid this problem, please restrain from the following:
| re-selling counters or auto-responders |
| Email bombs |
| Re-selling CGI access to other 3rd parties |
| Chat rooms, either Java or CGI are prohibited if run from/on our upline
servers, such as BitchX, eggdrop, chat.pl, quickchat.cgi, etc. Call us for
suggestions on other chat options |
| IRC Daemons are strictly prohibited |
| Other activities, whether lawful or unlawful, that we determine to be
harmful to our subscribers, operations, or reputation, including activities
that restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the service or
the internet. |
The Customer is required to protect the security of its Internet account and
usage. The customer(s) password will be treated as private and confidential and
will not be disclosed to or shared with any third parties by KENTROPOLIS or our
upline service provider. Should the customer disclose their password to any
third party, the customer agrees to take full responsibility for the actions of
said third party in connection with their account.
We will not tolerate "ettacks" such as mail bombing or other methods of
attempting to deny service or access to other users, and especially attempts to
violate our security and that of our upline servers. Such actions will result in
prosecution. In fact, we know where you live, and will personally hunt you down.
Deal with it.
Please note that we have no interest in policing your site. However, we do
not want a surprise call from a parent, lawyer, or law enforcement agency. If in
doubt, check with us.
Again, we support your freedoms of speech, religion, and expression. We
encourage opposing viewpoints and the free dissemination of information. We only
expect the inherent responsibilities that go with these rights.
