Some clients just know it’s time to do something online, and we were there for them.  Professional photos with clear content made a great, easy-to-use site that eventually integrated with their re-worked Facebook presence and their supplier’s private-label online catalog.  The theme was consistent with the franchise, and are popular local colors reminiscent of the old Buffalo Sabres.

Even with very low local search numbers for thier industry, the AdWords campaign we set up and managed paid for itself, and is available to them as additional revenue whenever they need it.

Chevalier Outdoor Living

A combination brochure site and showcase, the design had to be as classy as the high-end landscaping Chevalier provides.  It was laid out by Kentropolis discussing the company’s objectives in great detail, with the coding and additional graphics executed by Sarah Bonse of Apsire Technology Solutions.  A JAlbum showcase completes the site.

North Otto Tractor Parts

Dave Kempisty, owner of North Otto Tractor Parts, wasn’t sure what to do with the Internet.  After regular in-person meetings (I love old tractors) and development, we answered that question.  We started with a brochure site with a “Restoration Blog” to show off his work.

But the real dilemna was using the web to market his entire product line.  An affiliate link to one of his two major suppliers was a nominal start, but he wanted his site to be found for all the products available to him through his other main supplier.  Realizing it was too much work to upkeep many thousands of prices and inventory online, and knowing the strength of his business is in consulting with customers on the phone about what parts they actually need, we had a solution.  Instead of an e-commerce-capable shopping cart, we set up ZenCart with the purchase, inventory, and price options turned off.  Our partner, Aspire Technology Solutions, integrated a database provided by the supplier to avoid manual data entry, needing only a few minor adjustments thereafter.

With the affiliate program, we decided to set up fire-and-forget sales with a 1-month AdWords campaign going to a target page that linked to specific items on the affiliate site.  Targeting “Tractor Seats” and “Kubota Tractor Seats”, a problem occurred.  The global supplier handling fulfillment ended up running out of some of the items in part from the inflow of purchases through North Otto Tractor Parts, who made their money back anyway.  What a problem to have!

Eagle Optical Products

This site had one purpose, which it fulfilled — to be a showcase and point of purchase for Eagle Optical’s product lines of optical loupes and accessories.  For years (until recently), the PayPal shopping cart buttons provided e-commerce capability.  From time to time, the site was reoptimized for search engines and a two-month linkback process of articles and press releases in early 2010 moderately increased traffic.

Sock Dollies

A novelty for simpler times, as advertised in the Old Farmers Almanac.  In addition to a site that originally only showcased a few products and services wtih PayPal buttons, this was our first use of the Magento E-Commerce shopping cart system.  Most of the features are unused, but it provides a clean, easy to manage and upgrade system.  Custom sock dolls of all sorts have been shipped to Europe, Canada, and throughout the United States, almost entirely by contacts made online.

Mayer Bros.

Starting with their bottling facility in Barker, New York, we provided Mayer Brothers with their first functioning website.  When the corporate office saw the work, they turned the previously (long-time) “Coming Soon” site for their whole company over to Kentropolis.  For years, it represented their main product line, custom bottling division, seasonal store, and their water division, which at the time included coffee services.  The project was eventually passed to their marketing vendor to consolidate with other services they provided.
